Project 8p Foundation is a nonprofit biotech organization established in 2018, dedicated to advancing research into 8p disorders to uncover treatment options and provide meaningful answers to affected individuals and their families. As a patient-led, open-science organization, we prioritize collaboration, transparency, and resource sharing to fulfill our mission. Currently, there is no cure for 8p disorders, and we are committed to translating research into therapies and scaling our learnings to address other complex neurological chromosome diseases.
The Development Intern will play a key role in supporting Project 8p’s fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This internship is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit development, donor cultivation, and event planning while making a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected by chromosome 8p disorders.
The intern will assist with key aspects of development and fundraising operations, including donor outreach, event coordination, and managing peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives. Success in this role will require strong organizational skills, a willingness to learn, and a passion for nonprofit work.
